Guangdong JIAHGMEN Electrochemical Factory is located in Jiangmen，the capital city of the famous five counties known as the hometown for overseas Chinese. It is a national second class enterprise . The production capacity of its main product of caustic soda is 68，000 tons per year (100% NaOH)，ranking the second in Guangdong Province ，the 20th among the 42 key chlorine alkali producing enterprises throughout the country，and 49th among the state chemical comprehensive index enterprises in terms of economic benefits.


    The factory has now staff members of 950 .Those who have professional titles of different series at senior ，medium and junior levels account for 22% of the staff .The factory covers an area of 160600 square meters and fixed assets of RMB 160 million yuan.


    The main lines of products are:sodium Hydroxide，Liquid Chlorine for industrial use，Hydrochloric acid， Sodiun Hypochlorite， Ferric Chloride for industrial use Azodicarbonamide(AC foaming agent)，of which food additive ，Hydrochloric acid，Liquid Chlorine for industrial use and Lon-exchange membrane Sodium Hydroxide have all gained certificate of production by adopting foreign advanced standards.All products are under strict quality inspection ，and enjoying stable quality .They are not only best sellers on the mainland，but also exported to HongKong Macao，and Taiwan regions and countries in Southeast Asia .The factory has got the right to deal in import and exqort business.In order to raise the quality of the products to a higher level，the factory has set up its own quality system pursuant to the management mode of ISO9002，and has been certified and granted certificate from UKAS of England and RAB of the U.S.in October， 1997


    Since its set-up and beginning production in May ，1969，the factory has adopted advanced technology and strict scientific management to promote the development of the enterprise，thus the entire quality of the enterprise has been enhancing.The process，facilities，and technology of the factory have caught up with the advanced level home and abroad .It has now two sets of ion-exchange membrane process caustic soda production appliances separately imported from the United States and Japan，Ac foaming agent production appliancs imported from Taiwan with a production capacity of 3000 tons per year.The factory possesses a newly built wharf with an area of 500 square meters，a frontage of 250 meters， a quay berth tonnage of 500 tons per vessel，and unloading capacity of 600.000 tons per year .There is also a 110，000 Vconverting station under construction.These are strong basis for the future development of the enterprise.
